School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Bad Axe, MI
Job Description:
We are actively seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school district in Bad Axe, MI. This role offers the chance to inspire and uplift students by addressing their communication needs and empowering them to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide therapy sessions, using creative and engaging strategies to foster growth.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to create a comprehensive support network for students.
- Document progress and adjust therapy plans to ensure continued success.
- Participate in IEP meetings to advocate for students and their developmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Michigan state licensure or eligibility to obtain it.
- ASHA CCCs are preferred but not required for recent graduates completing their CFY.
- Experience in a school-based setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
