School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Accomack, VA
About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Accomack, VA. In this role, you will provide speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders, collaborate with educators and families, and actively contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to help students achieve success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct speech therapy services in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to track student progress and adjust interventions.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting and revisions.
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Offer guidance and resources to staff and parents to support student progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Virginia licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience working in a school setting is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
