School Based Speech Language Pathologist: New Hope, NC

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our healthcare team near New Hope, NC. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to individuals of all ages who experience communication disorders, speech impairments, and swallowing difficulties. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice quality, fluency, and pragmatic language abilities.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal treatment outcomes.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, therapeutic exercises, and techniques to support ongoing progress and independence.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina.
- Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Commitment to professional growth and continuing education to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
