Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team near Flippen, GA. This position involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with a range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will provide personalized care, working collaboratively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans that enhance communication skills and improve overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities. Develop accurate diagnoses and identify appropriate treatment needs based on assessment results.
  • Treatment Planning: Create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific goals and needs. Use evidence-based practices to guide therapeutic interventions and set measurable objectives.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services to clients, utilizing effective techniques to improve speech clarity, language development, communication effectiveness, and swallowing function.
  • Client and Family Education: Educate clients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment options, and strategies for supporting progress at home. Offer guidance on managing communication and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, educators, and social workers, to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to client care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and therapy sessions. Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Community Engagement: Engage in community outreach and educational activities to raise awareness of speech-language pathology services and support local health initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical, school, or healthcare setting is desirable.
