Job Description:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Clinical Fellow (SLP CF) to join our team in Watertown, MA. As an SLP Clinical Fellow, you will receive mentorship and support as you work with students to address their speech and language needs in a school-based setting. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the development of students' communication skills in a collaborative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders, creating individualized treatment plans.
- Develop and implement goals in collaboration with teachers and parents to ensure each student’s success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide feedback on student progress.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy as necessary to ensure effective treatment.
- Collaborate with school staff to implement communication strategies in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Eligibility for Massachusetts state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification (or eligibility).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Desire to learn and grow professionally in a supportive school environment.
- Previous clinical or internship experience in a school-based setting is a plus.
