Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP CF) for a school-based position in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language therapy services to students, supporting their academic and social development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with guidance from a licensed SLP.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of therapy plans and recommendations.
- Learn and apply best practices in speech-language pathology through observation and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completion of required coursework and clinical hours.
- Eligibility for or current Texas SLP Clinical Fellow (CF) license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus, but not required.
