Job Description:
Begin your journey as a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) in Albany, NY, where you will be part of a supportive school-based team dedicated to fostering communication skills and enhancing the lives of students. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative educational environment, with supervision and mentorship provided to meet Clinical Fellowship requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to determine individual student needs under the guidance of a licensed SLP.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students' speech, language, and social communication skills.
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on student-specific goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support each student's holistic development.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in documenting student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and school regulations.
- Receive ongoing mentorship and feedback from an experienced SLP supervisor to support your growth.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship in New York State.
- Passionate about helping students succeed and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a school environment.
