School Based - Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Position Overview:
Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a school district in Houston, TX for the remainder of the school year. This position offers both full-time and part-time hours, providing flexibility to suit your availability. As an SLPA, you will work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to help students enhance their communication skills and achieve their educational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech therapy services to students with various speech and language needs.
- Provide direct therapy sessions to students in accordance with treatment plans and IEPs (Individualized Education Plans).
- Track and document student progress, ensuring accurate records and reports are maintained.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to support students' communication development across different learning environments.
- Ensure all therapy services are delivered in compliance with district guidelines and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
- Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Texas.
- Previous experience in a school or clinical setting is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Position Details:
- Full-Time or Part-Time Hours – Flexible schedule for the remainder of the school year.
