Our partner school in Mill Valley, California is looking to find a kind & caring Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the full school year. We are seeking a compassionate applicant that is eager to assist an onsite Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) working with our Special Education students!
Position Details:
- Current School Year
- Full-Time: Up to 40 hours per week
- Caseload: K - 12th grade, specific caseload details will be discussed during the interview process
- Pay Range: $30 - $50 per hour, depending on previous experience
General Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising SLP in implementing speech and language therapy interventions for students or clients with communication disorders.
- Track and document students' progress during therapy sessions, recording specific targets, strategies used, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to reinforce speech and language goals in the classroom setting.
Requirements:
- Must have an active SLPA California License
- Must have Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Previous school experience preferred, but not required
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- AT & AAC device experience preferred, but not required
