Job Description:
Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Gig Harbor, WA. This is an exciting opportunity for an SLPA to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students, working alongside a team of professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students in a school setting. You will help with implementing treatment plans, conducting speech therapy sessions, and supporting students with speech and language disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in the delivery of speech and language therapy services to students
- Help with speech and language assessments and screenings
- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of the licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with teachers and parents to support students' progress
- Provide individualized therapy and interventions as needed
- Assist with therapy materials and classroom support
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or certification in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Active SLPA license in Washington State
- Experience working with students with speech and language needs preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
