Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Atchison, KS area. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping students improve their communication skills and achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy programs for students with speech and language disorders.
- Conduct screenings and assist in the assessment of students as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Support students in individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on speech, language, and communication skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report findings to the supervising SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment for students.
- Provide resources and support to students and families regarding communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Communication Disorders or a related field; certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children, especially in an educational setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate patience and compassion.
