Location: Opelika, AL
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time position with a school district in the Opelika, AL area.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this role:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Possess an active Alabama SLP license issued by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
- Obtain an Alabama Professional Educator Certificate in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred)
- Previous experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting is required
Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
