About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Supervisor to work remotely and provide oversight for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) stationed at two school locations. This flexible, part-time position allows you to manage your schedule while guiding the professional growth of the SLPA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise an SLPA providing speech therapy at two school sites, offering ongoing support and guidance.
- Help the SLPA with planning and implementing treatment strategies that align with best practices.
- Review student progress, ensuring therapies are effective and goals are being met.
- Participate in IEP meetings, generally during working hours (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Ensure that all activities adhere to professional and regulatory standards.
- Hold an initial meeting with the SLPA to ensure a proper fit for the role.
- Schedule a follow-up meeting with the school to align expectations for the SLPA’s work.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 days a week of availability for supervision and participation in IEP meetings.
- Strong background in speech-language pathology, preferably with supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment and maintain communication with school staff and families.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist licensure is required.
