Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Remote Evaluations: Conduct virtual assessments, evaluations, and diagnoses of speech, voice, hearing, and language impairments in students across various grade levels.
- Tailored Intervention Programs: Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans that address communication challenges, language development, articulation, and social communication needs. Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure effective treatment.
- Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teachers, school staff, and parents in a virtual setting to ensure the successful implementation of interventions and to support students' academic and social growth.
- Ongoing Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
Required Experience:
- School-Based Expertise: A minimum of two years of previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting is required. Experience with virtual platforms and remote therapy is highly desirable.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Washington State Speech Language Pathologist License: Must hold or be eligible for a valid SLP license in the state of Washington.
- ESA Teaching Certification: Required for practicing as an SLP in Washington schools.
- ASHA Certification: Must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Position Details:
- Full-Time Commitment: This position is full-time for the entire 2024-2025 school year, ensuring continuity of care for your caseload.
- Caseload: Work with a diverse range of students in grades K-12, addressing a variety of speech and language needs.
- Independent Contractor Role: This is a 1099 contract position, providing the flexibility of working as an independent contractor. Liability insurance is required for all contractors.
