Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our diverse team of tele-therapists in a Missouri school district. This position will support students across three different elementary schools, one middle school, each with unique needs. The ideal candidate will be adept in using technology to deliver effective speech and language services and engage students in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual speech and language therapy to students across four elementary schools.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent progress and support for students.
- Utilize technology platforms for therapy sessions, data collection, and communication with stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest tele-practice techniques and tools in speech therapy.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district policies and state regulations.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Missouri SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).
- Proven experience in delivering virtual therapy services.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency with teletherapy platforms and educational technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Student Needs:
- Articulation Disorders: Support students struggling with pronunciation and clarity of speech.
- Language Delays: Assist students with expressive and receptive language disorders and challenges.
- Social Communication Skills: Provide therapy for students with pragmatic language deficits.
- Fluency Disorders: Work with students experiencing stuttering and other fluency issues.
