Job Description:
We are looking for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to students in Illinois. This is a contracted position, and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting, with a strong understanding of IEP development, assessments, and therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments for students with communication disorders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure a holistic approach to student progress.
- Deliver both in-person and teletherapy services as needed (depending on district needs and flexibility).
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, IEP updates, and reports.
- Participate in IEP meetings, conferences, and other school-related activities.
- Stay current on best practices in speech therapy, special education, and teletherapy
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active SC state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school-based team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide teletherapy services (if applicable).
