Position Overview: As a Remote School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students. Using a virtual platform, you will collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to create and implement therapy plans created to meet each student’s individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations to assess students’ communication developments and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results and student goals.
- Provide virtual speech therapy services for students, including individual and small group sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure the student’s speech and language needs are being met.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure ongoing success in students.
- Maintain records of therapy sessions and IEP progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Connecticut state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is highly preferred.
- Previous experience delivering teletherapy is a plus.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based documentation.
