Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in school-based therapy
• Active licensure in Virginia
• Experience leading IEPs and evaluations
• Strong technological proficiency and communication skills
Job Details:
• Full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year (37.5 hours per week)
• Serving high school students, including those enrolled in virtual academies
• Mild to moderate disabilities
• Provide direct therapy for receptive/expressive language, articulation, and more
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents remotely
• Access to district email and IEP system
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language issues
• Deliver tele-therapy sessions to improve communication abilities
• Contribute to the development of school policies and curriculum related to speech and language
• Work with students individually and in groups via HIPAA-compliant technology
• Create tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate with families
• Attend parent-teacher meetings as required
