Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- At least 2 years of experience in a school setting
- Active licensure in Indiana
- Ability to lead IEPs and perform evaluations (internal clinical team support available for virtual observations and assessments)
- Strong tech skills and excellent interpersonal communication
Job Details:
- School Year: 2024/2025
- Part-Time: At least 2 days per week
- Caseload:
- Mild to moderate disabilities
- Working with K-12 students (based on candidate preference)
- Direct therapy for receptive, expressive, articulation, etc.
- Ability to collaborate with other team members and parents remotely
- District email and access to the IEP system provided
Essential Functions:
- Identify students with speech and language difficulties through multi-faceted evaluations, using standardized tests and/or authentic assessment activities.
- Provide remote speech and language services for the habilitation or prevention of communication impairments.
- Assist in developing curriculum guides and local policies related to speech and language disorders.
- Provide teletherapy for students, either individually or in small groups, using a HIPAA/FERPA-compliant platform.
- Design a program of study that incorporates best practices and supports the mastery of learning outcomes.
- Create individualized educational plans (IEPs) to meet the needs and abilities of each student.
- Develop and deliver instructional plans that help students access and progress in the general curriculum.
- Communicate goals and progress to parents, students, and school staff.
- Attend school-wide conferences for parents as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of resources, planning a variety of best practices, instructional techniques, and activities.
- Ensure regular and predictable attendance and follow all school policies.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.
