A school in Plano, TX is seeking a qualified and passionate Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCCs for a school year position. The Bilingual SLP will manage a caseload, conducting comprehensive evaluations and providing therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders in both English and another language. The director is prepared to promptly review applications and conduct interviews.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders in bilingual students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each patient’s unique needs.
- Provide direct therapy to students in both individual and group settings, utilizing bilingual skills as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support bilingual student progress.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for bilingual student support.
- Supervise and provide guidance to speech therapy assistants as needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a speech-language pathology setting, with a focus on bilingual education.
- Experience working in a school setting as an SLP is preferred.
Education:
- Must have a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Full accreditation (CCC) is required.
- Must have bilingual proficiency in English and another language.
