Speech-Language Pathologist – Remote Position
Location: Johnston, RI School District (Remote)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 16, 2025
Job Type: Part-Time (3 days/week)
Working Hours: 7:15 AM - 1:35 PM
Caseload: Fewer than 50 students
Grade Level: High School
Student Disabilities: Moderate to Severe
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver specialized services to high school students in a Johnston, RI School District. This remote, part-time role allows you to make a meaningful impact while providing speech and language therapy to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Therapy Services: Provide speech-language therapy to students, both individually and in small groups.
- Collaboration: Work with educators, staff, and parents to enhance service delivery.
- Documentation: Track and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- IEP Management: Follow the district’s IEP system, ASPEN, to ensure proper documentation and service planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Licensing: Active Rhode Island licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience: Previous work with high school students, particularly those with moderate to severe disabilities.
- System Knowledge: Experience with the ASPEN IEP system is preferred.
- Teletherapy Experience: While not mandatory, experience with teletherapy is an advantage.
Compensation & Additional Information:
- Hourly Rate: $50–$55, which includes both direct and indirect therapy services.
- Extension Possibility: Opportunity for contract extension during the summer or for the following academic year.
- Contractor Status: This is an independent contractor position.
- Work Schedule: Must be available for 3 days per week, from 7:15 AM to 1:35 PM.
