Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with children 3rd-5th grade with disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team committed to improving the lives of individuals with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to children with various disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with other professionals (teachers, psychologists, social workers, etc.) to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each client.
- Provide guidance and support to families and caregivers.
- Continue professional development and participate in relevant training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid and active DC Speech-Language Pathologist License OR current MD/VA license with quick reciprocity to DC.
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Experience working with children and young adults with disabilities is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for working with individuals with disabilities and making a positive impact.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
