Role Overview:
VocoVision is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual services to students in grades K-12 throughout Alaska. In this independent contractor position, you’ll deliver critical speech therapy support remotely, ensuring students in both urban and rural areas have access to the care they need. With VocoVision’s state-of-the-art teletherapy platform, you’ll make a meaningful impact from the comfort of your home.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive virtual evaluations to identify and address students’ speech and language needs, adhering to Alaska’s educational requirements.
- Develop and implement personalized therapy programs that align with IEP objectives.
- Conduct dynamic, interactive therapy sessions using VocoVision’s teletherapy tools.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to support student growth and achievement.
- Document therapy sessions, monitor student progress, and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
- Attend virtual IEP meetings, contributing professional input in compliance with Alaska’s standards.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Active and current Alaska SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Prior experience in school-based settings or familiarity with Alaska’s educational guidelines (preferred).
- Strong technical skills and the ability to navigate online platforms effectively.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities.
