Title: School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Full-Time Position
Location: Newport News, VA
Duration: 10-Month Contract (24/25 School Year)
Are you an experienced Speech Language Pathologist looking for a rewarding opportunity to work with PreK-Elementary students? We are currently seeking a dedicated SLP to join our team for the upcoming school year. This position offers the chance to make a positive impact on the communication skills and academic success of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' communication goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social-emotional growth.
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Virginia state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferably, at least one year of experience working in a school-based setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
