Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Warren, MI, for the 2024-2025 school year. As an SLP in our district, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing treatment for students with speech, language, and communication disorders. You will work closely with students, parents, and educators to develop and implement individualized plans that support each student’s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals for each student.
- Deliver therapy sessions to improve communication skills, addressing articulation, language, fluency, and social language.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure consistency in treatment plans across environments.
- Document and track student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insight on student progress and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Michigan SLP license or eligibility to obtain.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
