We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team near Nottawa, MI. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in providing diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic interventions for students with communication disorders. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and collaborate with a supportive team of educators and specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure a holistic approach to therapy.
- Monitor and document student progress towards therapy goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
- Educate and support parents on strategies to promote speech and language development at home.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Michigan state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
