Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. You will support a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in assessing, treating, and managing communication disorders for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP with speech and language screenings.
- Follow treatment plans designed by the SLP.
- Provide direct therapy to individuals and groups.
- Track and document patient progress.
- Educate patients and families on communication exercises and strategies.
- Prepare materials and set up equipment for therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent.
- State licensure or certification as an SLPA.
- Preferred experience with children and/or adults with communication disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
