Blazer Jobs is excited to announce an opening for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a dedicated school district team in the Albemarle, NC area. This full-time position is ideal for a motivated individual committed to supporting students' communication development in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
As an SLPA, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Supporting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in implementing therapy plans.
- Providing direct speech therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records of student performance.
- Assisting in the preparation of therapy materials and resources.
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure the success of each student.
- Adhering to local, state, and federal regulations governing speech-language therapy.
Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- An active SLPA license issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant program.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
