Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school district in the Houston, TX area to hire a full-time Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is within a special education setting, providing an exciting opportunity to work with students in need of speech and language therapy services, particularly in a bilingual environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in a special education setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in both English and Spanish.
- Create and implement effective treatment plans for bilingual students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and ensure compliance with state and district requirements.
Requirements:
- State licensure and certifications as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is a must.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
