Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in San Antonio, TX. The SLPA will work with students across K-12 grades, providing support to a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering speech and language services. The ideal candidate will help students with a range of communication needs, supporting their academic and social success. Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising SLP with screenings, assessments, and treatment implementation.
- Carry out IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals under the supervision of the SLP.
- Track and document student progress and performance.
- Provide speech and language support to students from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to provide comprehensive support for students.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
- Valid SLPA license in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Experience working with K-12 students is a plus.
