North Texas Speech-Language Pathologist Remote Role

VocoVision is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a work-from-home position in a North Texas school district. Teletherapy has become a valuable tool in education, especially for districts where on-site therapists are unavailable, offering greater flexibility for both therapists and students.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, diagnoses, and therapy for students with speech impairments remotely.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic recommendations for students requiring special education services.
- Work closely with the Special Education Coordinator to develop IEP goals and treatment plans.
- Serve as a speech and language resource to school staff members.
- Collect and analyze data to assess student outcomes and school improvement.
- Assist teachers and families in adapting instruction to increase student engagement.
Skills:
- Experience in teletherapy is encouraged but not required; training and support are provided.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using software for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to troubleshoot common software and hardware issues related to speech therapy tools.
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities and at-risk children.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail when managing sensitive student information.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in a school-based setting.
- Articulation, receptive, and expressive speech therapy experience is beneficial.
- Teletherapy experience is a plus.
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
License:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
- Must hold an active license in both the state of residence and the state of the school district.

- Assessment and therapy tools (interactive games, digital assignments, speech therapy tools).
