Newington, CT: School-based Speech-Language Pathologist
Newington, CT
Calling on licensed Speech-Language Pathologists based in Newington, CT, who are available for a long-term substitute position with elementary school students with more involved speech needs.
Requirements:
- Connecticut SLP license OR
- Speech-Language certification through the Department of Education
- 1 year of Speech Therapy experience in school settings preferred
Pay and benefits:
- Hourly W2 pay of $55 to $72/hr, dependent on experience
- This contract has maximum billable hours of 35 hours per week
- Health, vision and dental insurance

Description of Duties:
- Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
- Present evaluation results and propose IEP (Individual Education Plan) goals at IEP meetings
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
