Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide comprehensive speech and language services to K-12 students. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students in overcoming communication challenges and achieving their academic and social potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
- Provide direct therapy services and develop group sessions as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student goals.
- Educate staff and families on communication strategies and resources.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with K-12 students is a plus.
- Knowledge of current best practices in speech and language therapy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- State License: Must hold a current and valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certification: CCC-SLP preferred but not mandatory for recent graduates.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check as required by the school district.
- CPR and First Aid Certification: Current certification preferred.
