Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide comprehensive speech and language services to K-12 students. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students in overcoming communication challenges and achieving their academic and social potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
  • Provide direct therapy services and develop group sessions as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student goals.
  • Educate staff and families on communication strategies and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience working with K-12 students is a plus.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in speech and language therapy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • State License: Must hold a current and valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA Certification: CCC-SLP preferred but not mandatory for recent graduates.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of a background check as required by the school district.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification: Current certification preferred.
