Position Overview:
As an SLP, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. Your role will be critical in helping students develop effective communication skills, enhance their learning experience, and achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy to students with speech and language disorders, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create and execute effective communication strategies and support plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid State License in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
