Position Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work closely with students, teachers, and families to identify, diagnose, and address speech and language disorders. Your role will involve developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy services, and collaborating with educational staff to support students' communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff on strategies to enhance communication and language development in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Current state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
