Position Overview:

The Clinical Fellow will work under the supervision of a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students in grades K-12. This role is designed to help new professionals transition from academic training to independent practice, offering hands-on experience in assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of students’ speech and language skills under the guidance of a supervising SLP.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs.
  • Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality speech and language services.
  • Receive and incorporate feedback from the supervising SLP to refine skills and techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Completed academic coursework and clinical practicum required for Clinical Fellow status.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for Clinical Fellow status.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Enthusiasm for working with K-12 students and a commitment to professional growth.
