Position Overview:

Join our team as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow, supporting students across various schools within our district. This full-time, supervised role offers an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and develop clinical skills under the mentorship of an experienced speech-language pathologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students with communication disorders (articulation, language, fluency, voice disorders).
  • Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students' needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with educators and parents to set goals.
  • Document and track student progress according to state and district regulations.
  • Collaborate with school staff, including teachers, special education teams, and administrators, to foster a supportive environment.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to develop goals and objectives for students.
  • Maintain a caseload, ensuring timely and effective delivery of therapy services.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision as part of the CF process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Completion of required coursework and clinical hours for licensure.
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain.
  • State licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Completion of required Clinical Fellowship hours.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based therapy (preferred).
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to improving student outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in school-based settings (internships or practicum).
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population.
