Job Description:
Soliant is actively seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time school-based position in South Holland, IL. The SLPA will collaborate with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide support in treating students with speech and language disorders, following prescribed therapy plans, and assisting in daily therapy sessions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students, helping them achieve communication success in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Assist in screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring.
- Provide direct therapy services to students as per individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ communication needs.
- Document sessions and maintain accurate student records.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Active SLPA license in Illinois.
- School-based experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
