Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract (August 5, 2024 – May 23, 2025)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position in Rutledge, TN for the 2024-2025 school year (August 5, 2024 – May 23, 2025). The position involves providing speech and language services district-wide, with a caseload across 2-3 schools that are located within close proximity (5-10 miles of each other). The successful candidate will work primarily in two schools, with three days at Bean Station and two days at Joppa.
This position is ideal for a flexible and dependable SLP who enjoys working with a diverse range of students across all age groups and is comfortable traveling between school sites.
Position Details:
- Start Date: August 5, 2024
- End Date: May 23, 2025
- Hours: Full-time (30-37.5 hours per week)
- Caseload: District-wide, including 2-3 schools within a 5-10 mile radius.
- Schedule: 3 days at one school, 2 days at the other.
- Location: Rutledge, TN (with travel between schools).
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments and therapy services to students across all age groups.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Offer direct and indirect therapy services, including individual and group sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students’ progress.
- Maintain detailed records of services provided and progress made.
- Attend IEP meetings and assist with developing educational plans.
- Assist with Medicaid billing and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Tennessee SLP License required.
- Comfort and experience working with all age groups (PreK-12).
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute between school locations.
- Prior experience with the Tennessee Medicaid billing system is a plus.
- A dependable and professional work ethic, with the ability to manage a flexible caseload.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with school teams and families.
