Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist for the 24-25 SY
Caseload: Elementary Middle or High School (Which is your preference?)
Compensation: 40-50+ an hour depending on qualifications and experience
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Speech Language Pathologists to provide specialized instruction to students. As a certified SLP you will work under the direction of the Building Principal and Director of Special Education to develop and implement Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) for assigned students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student's IEP
- Assess student progress and determine the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques
- Employ various teaching techniques, methods, and principles of learning to enable students to meet their IEP goals
- Develop and implement annual IEP plans for students
- Coordinate the delivery of special education services in each student's IEP
- Create a positive learning experience with emphasis on individualized instruction
- Work collaboratively with colleagues
- Serve as primary contact for parents
- Conduct special education evaluations and reevaluations
- Provide direction, supervision, and evaluation of educational assistants as directed
- Comply with School Board policies and all state/federal rules and regulations
- Complete all district and state reporting requirements
Requirements:
- MUST POSSESS A VALID SPECIAL EDUCATION CREDENTIAL FOR THE STATE.
- Possession of ASHA certification is preferred
- Education and experience as required by state authorities
- Ability to work under a degree of stress related to duties that require constant attention and working with students
- Physical demands are restricted to classroom work requiring lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds
