Job Summary:
We are looking for two dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join our team in Aurora, CO, for the 2024-2025 school year. This is an onsite, full-time position (35 hours/week) providing support to speech-language pathologists in delivering services to students in a school setting. The role involves working closely with students to implement therapy plans and help improve their communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing speech and language therapy to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Help implement individualized treatment plans and carry out therapy goals as directed.
- Support students with speech and language delays or disorders, working both one-on-one and in small groups.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and district guidelines.
- Collaborate with the SLP and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
Requirements:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Certification for SLPA is required.
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently while following therapy plans provided by the supervising SLP.
