Position Overview:
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students with speech and language challenges. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing effective treatment plans, conducting assessments, and providing direct therapy services to students across various grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication needs.
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ academic success.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and strategies for support.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of services provided.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
