Job Description:
Soliant is seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Newburyport, MA. This is a part-time position (1-2 days per week) in a school setting, providing essential speech and language support to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support students in improving their communication skills, including speech, language, and social interaction
- Conduct individual or group therapy sessions with students
- Document and report on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student performance and services provided
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
- Active SLPA license in the state of Massachusetts (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
