Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - 2024-2025 School Year
Location: Uxbridge, MA
Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our educational team for the 2024-2025 school year in Uxbridge, MA. In this role, you will assess and support students with speech, language, and communication disorders, collaborating with educators and families to develop tailored intervention plans that foster student achievement.
Requirements for SLP:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Massachusetts state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs are welcome to apply
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory
Requirements for SLPA:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field
- Valid Massachusetts SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities
- Create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and group sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to enhance student support
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting (for SLPs)
- Assist in executing therapy plans under the guidance of a licensed SLP (for SLPAs)
- Stay current with best practices and new developments in the field
