Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist - Remote Position (2024/2025 School Year)

VocoVision is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to work remotely for a school district in Louisiana for the 2024/2025 school year. This teletherapy position allows you to provide speech services to students while working from home.
About VocoVision:
VocoVision connects skilled tele-practitioners with schools to provide remote therapy services. You’ll collaborate with school staff to manage a caseload of students and develop individualized treatment plans. Short-term and long-term positions are available.
Teletherapy gives you the flexibility to work from home, saving time and reducing stress. VocoVision offers full training and 24/7 technical support for all tele-practitioners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic recommendations and interventions for students needing special education services.
- Collaborate with the Special Education Coordinator to develop IEP goals and treatment plans.
- Serve as a speech-language expert for school staff and families.
- Collect and analyze student data to track progress and outcomes.
- Support teachers and families in creating strategies to engage students.
Skills:
- Remote therapy experience is encouraged but not required; full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
- Proficiency in documentation and report preparation software.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with therapy tools and software.
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations, including at-risk and special needs children.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
Experience:
- 2-3 years in a school setting.
- Experience with articulation, receptive, and expressive speech therapy is preferred.
- Teletherapy experience is a plus.
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
License:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Louisiana.
- Candidate must hold an active license in both the state of residence and the state in which the school district is located.
Platform:
- HIPAA/FERPA-compliant platform (VocoVision).
- Zoom interface for therapy sessions and meetings.
- Scheduling tools, continuing education resources, and interactive therapy tools.
- No student data is stored on the platform.
