K-8th Grade Speech Language Pathologist Position
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Lawrence, MA Area
Employment Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success.
- Educate school personnel and families on effective communication strategies.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education laws and guidelines.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following Massachusetts state requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Current Massachusetts SLP license issued by the Board of Registration in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred but not required).
- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and implement evidence-based therapy interventions.
