Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Whitman, MA. The position offers a full-time role working with an elementary school caseload of 40 students, split between an SLPA and an SLP. The caseload offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and experience with young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing direct therapy to students
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement treatment strategies
- Monitor and track student progress and performance
- Provide support for classroom-based interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other team members to ensure a comprehensive approach to student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed
Requirements:
- SLPA Certification and Massachusetts licensure (or eligibility)
- Experience working in elementary school settings is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
