As a School SLPA, you will work closely with a certified Speech-Language Pathologist to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver therapy services that meet the diverse needs of our students. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in conducting assessments and screenings.
- Implement therapy activities and interventions under the supervision of an SLP.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
- Provide support and education to families and school staff.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field.
- Valid SLPA license in North Carolina.
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
