Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist Position Available
VocoVision is thrilled to share a new opportunity in partnership with a school district in Vermont, looking for a full-time virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Candidates with prior experience in educational settings are encouraged to apply promptly, as the district aims to fill this role quickly.
While residency in Vermont is not a requirement, applicants must possess licenses for both their home state and Vermont.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Full-time for the 2024-2025 school year
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: K-6, focusing exclusively on speech services without the need for evaluations
- Compensation: $50-$55 per hour, paid weekly
- Service Model: Includes both direct and indirect support
- Employment Type: Independent contractor
- Insurance: Professional liability insurance is necessary upon hiring
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote evaluations, assessments, and diagnostics for speech, voice, hearing, and language difficulties.
- Develop and implement personalized intervention plans that address the specific communication, language, articulation, and social communication needs of students in a virtual setting.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff remotely to apply effective intervention strategies.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two years in a school-based role.
Licensure and Certifications Needed:
- Speech-Language Pathologist License for Vermont
- Educational/teaching certification from the Vermont Department of Education
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Current state clearances (including fingerprints, TB tests, background checks, etc.)
