Vocovision is urgently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 1099 contract position to provide remote therapy services to students in New York. This position is available for an immediate start, offering the flexibility of remote work while delivering essential speech-language therapy services to students in need. Key Responsibilities:
- Remote Speech-Language Therapy: Provide teletherapy services to students with speech and language disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Create and Implement IEPs: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring goals are tailored to their specific needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with School Teams: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop comprehensive, effective plans for student progress.
- Monitor and Document Progress: Regularly assess student performance, document therapy sessions, and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Adaptation to Virtual Learning: Utilize technology and virtual tools to create engaging and interactive therapy sessions for students.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- Current NY State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- Familiarity with teletherapy tools and delivering services remotely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and school staff.
- Must be able to work independently as a 1099 contractor, with flexibility in managing your caseload.
- ASHA Certification (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience in teletherapy is a plus.
